Remark on a Quadrature Formula for a Hypersingular Integral

Abstract: This short note sheds light on the quadrature formula suggested in [Quart. Appl. Math., LVI, (1998), 461-472] for a hypersingular integral. Our conclusion is that the quadrature is in fact a special case of a more general formula analysed in [Numer. Math., {\bf 50}, (1987), 273-281], where convergence analysis is also given.
