Automorphisms fixing subnormal subgroups of polycyclic groups

Abstract:
In this paper we extend results of Franciosi and de Giovanni to show that
in the group of automorphisms of a polycyclic group that fix every
subnormal subgroup setwise the subgroup of inner automorphisms with
this property has finite index.
