Wavelets And Approximation Of Attractors For Dissipative Evolution Equations
Olivier Goubet
Abstract:
The large time dynamics of a broad class of nonlinear dissipative evolution
equations is
governed by a global attractor. We present here some methods using wavelets to
approximate this attractor, for a set of equations that includes nonlinear
parabolic
equations of Navier-Stokes type and nonlinear Schrödinger equations.
