On the convergence of Gummel mapping for steady state semiconductor equations
Ping Guan
Abstract:
In this paper one dimensional steady state basic semiconductor equations, a
system of nonlinear elliptic partial differential equations, with non-zero
recombination-generation rate are considered. We prove that the Gummel
mapping is
contractive with respect to the norm of the solution in
H1 provided that the
length L of the device is small enough. Therefore, the uniqueness
of the
stationary
solution is obtained.
