Algebra and Topology Seminar4pm Tuesday 10 August 2004 Ramon Esteban Romero Universitat de Politecnica de Valencia The finite p-soluble minimal non-p-supersoluble groups Given a class X of groups, a minimal non-X-group or an X-critical group is a group which does not belong to the class, but all its proper subgroups belong to the class. It is clear that detailed knowledge of critical groups can give some insight into what makes a group belong to a class. Given a prime p, a group G is said to be p-supersoluble whenever it is p-soluble and all p-chief factors of G are cyclic groups of order p. In this talk the classification of the finite p-soluble minimal non-p-supersoluble groups will be given. Return to list of seminars |
