Graduate Students Seminar2pm Thursday 29 April 2004 Jason Lo MSI The Riemann-Roch Theorem for Curves The Riemann-Roch Theorem is a basic tool for classification in algebraic geometry. However, its original form, as given by Riemann and Roch, lies in complex function theory. The aim of the talk is to consider a couple of occasions where the Theorem arises, and translate the algebra involved back into complex analysis. Return to list of seminars |
