Staff

  • Dr John Knight is a visiting fellow who works on environmental problems.
  • Dr Andrea Codd works on the Numerical solution of PDE's in particular using the FOSLS method.
  • Dr Thanh Tran worked with us until 2000, taking up a position at Deakin university in 2001 and is now at UNSW. He works on boundary integral methods for partial differential equations, fast solution methods (multilevel, hierarchical basis, wavelet-based preconditioners), and inverse problems.
  • Dr Lutz Grosz worked with us until 1999 and is now at UQ. Dr Lutz Grosz works on solution of non-linear partial differential equations by finite element methods on workstations and parallel and vector computers; software development for Fujitsu supercomputers within the Area 4 project; multilevel preconditioner; LINSOL: iterative solver for linear systems
  • Dr David Harrar worked with us until 1999. His research area is Scientific computation, parallel computing, supercomputing applications; Numerical analysis, numerical linear algebra; Numerical methods for large eigenvalue problems.
  • Dr Bing Bing Zhou works on Parallel algorithms and architectures, numerical analysis; Distributed systems and networks; Real-time signal; and image processing.
