Astronomy & Astrophysics Program Mathematical Sciences Institute, ANU Honours Program Course StructureThe fourth (or honours) year in Theoretical Astrophysics consists of coursework (50%) and a thesis (50%). Students are required to do 18 credit points (CP) of coursework and to present two seminars on their research project. The program is spread over 10 months from the beginning of February to the end of November. It is also possible to begin in the middle of the year. External students should apply through the ANU Admissions Office (you can find the form here ). Students may decide to do entirely astrophysics coursework (the list of courses is given below - please note that course offerrings are subject to student number and staff availabilty) or to combine some astronomical courses with any of the Mathematics and Physics courses offered at the ANU. Some useful resources are available on-line for current students; these include some help with using TeX in writing the thesis, and also copies of information sheets with important dates, etc. Scholarships
