The two ARC programs of greatest importance for
mathematical scientists are the Fellowship program and the
Large Grants program and most of the successful applications in
mathematics and statistics occur through the ARC
Physical Sciences Panels.
Others are granted by the Engineering,
Earth Sciences and Social Sciences Panels.
Last year the official website listed successful applications by panel but
this year they are listed by Institute and the title is the only indication
of the discipline area.
Unfortunately titles do not give an entirely unambiguous indication of the
nature of the project.
Hence there has been an element of randomness in the choice of the following
lists of successful applicants for grants and fellowships.
Moreover, the affiliations of the individual investigators are no
longer given in the large grant data, only the name of the administering
Institution.
In addition the presentation of the data on the official ARC website is
less than perfect and this has led to some gaps in the following presentation.
