Payment
Student Support
Students who would like to attend the CTAC meeting can ask their
departments to pay for registration, travel and accommodation. The
department can then claim this support as part of their AMSI contribution
under their agreement with AMSI.
ANZIAM is investigating the possibility of
assisting postgraduate students to attend conferences such as CTAC but
the precise rules for the proposed scheme have not yet been finalised.
In the interim period postgraduate students who would like financial
assistance to attend CTAC are asked to apply directly to A/Prof Geoff
Mercer (g.mercer@adfa.edu.au). Any support from ANZIAM will be
limited to a maximum of $400 per student. ANZIAM acknowledges the
financial support of CSIRO Mathematical and Information Sciences in making
this scheme possible.
Students are expected to
- Present a paper.
- Obtain matching funding from their own University if possible.
Details to be included with the application for funding.
- Obtain the support of their supervisor (a letter from their
supervisor will be sufficient).
- Be a member of ANZIAM.
