On the afternoon of Sunday 23 September we planned an excursion to the new National Museum, beginning at 2:30pm. The Museum is about a 20 minute walk from the ANU and is well worth a visit. The cost is free!! Alternatively, you may have preferred to go and wander around the other sights that Canberra has to offer. (We put the order in for kind weather.)

If you've got time, there are a number of places in Canberra you might like to visit, and the link above has some useful information. You might also like to consider visiting Floriade, Canberra's famous springtime flower festival which is on right now (and is free). There is also the National Gallery of Australia, which is well worth a visit. And of course you might like to visit the National Museum, either on the planned excursion, or by yourself.
