Two Projections (AGAIN!) and the Chern Character

Abstract
We show how a simple formula for the "relative codimension" or "relative index" of two projections on a Hilbert space and a little calculation yields the (Connes-) Chern Character formula in Connes' cyclic cohomology. You don't need to understand any of these terms to follow (most of) the talk.
