Index Theory for KMS States
Adam Rennie, U of Copenhagen
Seminar Room G35, JDMathSciBldg (# 27)
Abstract
I will show how one can associate a nontrivial index theory to KMS states for circle actions on C*-algebras. I will illustrate with concrete examples, and give some early applications of these ideas to Mumford curves in rithmetic geometry. Joint work with A. Carey, S. Neshveyev, R. Nest, M. Marcolli, J. Phillips, K. Tong.
