Professor Trudinger took an Outside Studies Program at the University of Nice in May/June with Professors Newman and Wilson serving as Acting Dean during his absence. Professor Wilson also served as Acting Dean during subsequent brief conference trips by Professor Trudinger in August and October.
Ms Biles was the SMS representative on the ANU EDCG Committee and is a member of the EDCG Working Party No. 7, English language and/or Cultural training.
The SMS has seen an increase in IT usage with a number of new computers, including PCs, Sun workstations and Macintosh computers. Mr Guoth attended the South Pacific User Services Conference in Christchurch where he was a speaker. Other members of the Unit have attended small courses relating to PC and Unix work.
