More information for undergraduate students can be found on the Department of Mathematics home page. Undergraduate ScholarshipsANU ScholarshipsA number of ANU Honours Scholarships are available. For those interested in spending a short amount of time over the summer break experiencing research life, the ANU also offers a number of Summer Research Scholarships. MSI ScholarshipsHilary Booth Scholarship (Applications close 30 November)The MSI has instituted a scholarship in memory of Hilary Booth, who passed away suddenly in May 2005. The Scholarship will be awarded to a student in the mathematical sciences entering the final honours year, or their third year with the intention of proceeding to an honours degree. Its value is $5, 000. The primary criterion for award is academic merit, though preference may be given to applicants satisfying one or more of the following criteria (i) A student returning to study after a break from higher education;(ii) A student not from the ANU; (iii) An interest in mathematical biology. Boyapati Computer Science and Mathematics Scholarship (Applications close 30 November)The Scholarship is funded by Vijay Boyapati, an alumnus of the Mathematical Sciences Institute. The aim is to encourage students to pursue a degree in the related fields of Computer Science and Mathematics. Its value is $5,000. The Scholarship will be awarded to a student entering the final honours year of a bachelor degree in either the Department of Mathematics or the Department of Computer Science, and whose project is considered to be an appropriate mix of both areas. The primary criterion for award is academic merit. Online application can be made here, or hard copy sent to the address specified there. Two academic references are required, the necessary form is available here. MSI Honours Scholarship (Applications close 30 November)Its value is $5,000. The Scholarship will be awarded to a student entering the final honours year of a bachelor degree in the Mathematics honours program. The primary criterion for award is academic merit.
